More information
Meiyan characterizes Cumbaya as a rose for rock gardens and also for container planting. The blooms are unbrushed, simple, single: dark pink or light crimson on the upper surface, fading to pink, with a white eye at the center. The reverse side of the petals is likewise white. Sometimes the petals are slightly wavy; more commonly the bloom presents as an open saucer. Flowers are produced in clusters of 3–7 blooms. Cumbaya forms a low, compact bush with fine‑textured dark green foliage. The cultivar shows disease resistance and flowers abundantly, with minimal pauses until late autumn. Flowering continues throughout the season, with sustained bloom until late autumn.
