Crystal Palace features flowers with defined form and coloration, and a compact, small yet sturdy shrub. The variety fits within small floribundas or patio roses. It is suitable for container cultivation. The blooms are densely double in an old-fashioned style, with a swirling center. At first glance they appear soft pink, while close inspection shows cream-toned upper petals and a pale peachy-pink reverse. Flowers present singly or, more commonly, in small clusters of 3–5. Flowering occurs in successive flushes until late autumn, with 1–2 blooms typically present on the shrub at intervals. Foliage is bright green, glossy; the plant is well-branched and compact.
