More information
The blend of pale yellow and cream intensifies toward the center of the bloom. In strong sun, the creamy tone fades, and before the petals drop, the flower turns white. With petals in such delicate tones, good rain tolerance is uncommon; brown spotting appears only occasionally. Globular buds open into rounded, densely brushed flowers. The center remains closed and the blooms open slowly. The scent is reminiscent of myrrh and apple. Brushes of 7–9 flowers continue for many weeks, producing numerous clusters. The bush is compact and dense. Flowering shoots are sturdy enough to hold the flowers upright. Leaves are very large, dark green.
The densely brushed, moderately fragrant flowers of this rose are referred to as “cream plus,” as the overall tone shows a pale yellow and at times a light pink haze. The strongly branching bush with dark green foliage flowers through summer and autumn.
