More information

Concorde® is a grandiflora rather than a classic rose, with blooms consistently borne in small inflorescences. The flowers are very full, spherical, and display an old-rose (historical) form, paired with a color pattern not typical of that group. Blooms open creamy yellow; this tone remains in the center while the petals simultaneously develop a rosy-reddish hue that deepens with greater sun exposure. The fragrance is light. The shrub is vigorous with an upright habit, about 80 cm tall and 50 cm wide. Flowering is recurrent, in several waves per season. The plant has glossy foliage, and sturdy stems suitable for cutting and vase use. Foliage shows good resistance to black spot and powdery mildew. In garden plantings, the variety is appropriate for small groups and also for solitary placement.

The rose is named after a traditional brand of luxury motorhomes that has transported many tourists to various destinations. The naming ceremony was organized by the Concord Friends-North fan club in July 2018.
