More information
Cocorico 89 is a vigorous, hardy rose suited to mixed plantings in a mixed border and to mass plantings. The flowers are semi-double, cupped, with wavy petals; initially crimson with a creamy patch at the base of the petals. Later the cream tones fade to white, and the crimson to pink, which also lightens, so that at full bloom the flowers are white with a pink margin. In rainy weather the blooms show spotting. The foliage is firm, dark green, glossy; the shrub is spreading, and the flowering is abundant and prolonged—nearly continuous.
