The variety is named in honor of Christian Tetedoie – president of the largest association of chefs, Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, and a French restaurateur; owner of La Voute Chez Lea and the eponymous restaurant Christian Tetedoie, awarded a Michelin star in 2000.
