More information
Not to be confused with the pale pink large-flowered rose Versailles (DELset), introduced by the same breeder in 1967. Chateau de Versailles bears single, densely ruffled, cup-shaped flowers. They are bicolour: petals bright red on the inside and white on the outside. The flowers are odourless and are used for cutting.
The red and silver varieties form a contrast. A pointed bud opens into a calyx-shaped flower with numerous petals arranged layer by layer. The flowers are single, with dense petals, for the garden and for bouquets.
