Charlotte Wheatcroft is a floribunda. Its blooms are bright red, medium-sized (6 cm), semi-double (8–11 petals), fragrant, and borne in large clustered inflorescences of 3 to 20 flowers. It blooms abundantly throughout the season. The foliage is dark green and glossy. Shows slight susceptibility to powdery mildew. Used for solitary plantings and tall groupings. Plants form vigorous, compact shrubs up to 1.5 m tall. Young shoots and leaves exhibit strong anthocyanin coloration. The leaves are dark and glossy. Spikes are numerous and large.
