More information

Hardy tea-hybrid rose that tolerates heat, cold, and rain. Blooms are modest in size, open slowly, retain their form, and keep the center concealed. Foliage is large, dark green; plants show low disease incidence. Flowering is nearly continuous. Flowers are produced from the bottom of the bush to the top in stepped tiers. Buds open gradually and persist on the stem for an extended period without shattering. Responds to fertiliser with vigorous growth, forming a large, robust bush. Depending on weather conditions, the red stripe on the petals varies in intensity, shifting to a lighter shade and back. Suitable for wall plantings as a landscape divider. Named after Chaim Sutin, a French artist of Jewish descent.
