More information
Yellow groundcover roses are uncommon in cultivation. Celina is distributed by Noack in English-speaking countries under the name Yellow Flower Carpet. It is not a climbing rose, but rather a low, small shrub used as groundcover. Celina carries yellow buds and lemon-coloured semi-double or double blooms that gradually fade to cream. The flowers are borne in loose clusters of 10–25 blooms, the petals shatter cleanly, and small greenish fruits ripen after the fall of the petals. The foliage is glossy, shiny; stems bear few thorns, and the plant forms a compact bush. This rose is suited to mass plantings and also combines well with other flowers in a mixed border. The first flowering is abundant; subsequent flushes are lighter but regular.
