Pink rose with pale pink edges, rosette-shaped flowers of medium size with about 30 petals and a button eye in the center; flowers have an apple-like scent. The bush is well-branched, nearly thornless, with light green, matte foliage.
Reported parentage: Rosa multiflora × ‘Souvenir d’un Ami’ (sources differ on origin). There is also a related variegated climbing form, ‘Cécile Brunner Cl.’ Shade-tolerant variety.
This form grows as a large bush (approximately 6 ft and higher), producing repeat blooms through the season in long, open panicles (“sprays”). Buds are long and slender; flowers are small, with deeper pink centers.
It is available as both vine (climbing/liana form) and shrub. The flowers are small, well-turbined, hybrid-tea type. The original form is compact and low, with regular, bushy growth, bearing numerous small, pale pink, well-formed flowers. Suitable for use in the foreground of beds, borders, and window boxes. Requires light pruning.
