More information

This salmon-pink hybrid tea rose is widely grown in Western Europe but remains little known elsewhere. The variety opens pale red and quickly fades to a salmon-pink hue. Petals are long and large; at full bloom the flower shows a cluster of stamens in the center and a yellow spot at the base of the petals. Blooms appear on fairly long shoots and hold well as cut flowers. Catherine Deneuve is a vigorous and resilient variety, but allocates most of its energy to abundant repeat flowering. If not pruned, the bush can reach 150 cm in height, though it is usually grown as a bedding rose at about half that height. The foliage is disease resistant and glossy, and the bush is upright. Adaptable, it tolerates harsh winters and also grows in Mediterranean climates.
