More information
Carte d'Or forms large clusters of sizable blooms that recur so frequently the plant appears almost continuously in flower. Abundant bloom production is a defining trait. The flowers are tightly clustered and distinctly shaped, especially at opening. At first the flowers are deep yellow; with age the color fades quickly to pale yellow, then cream and white, and finally brown, because the petals persist and the blooms wither on the bush rather than dropping. The plant develops a bush with fine dark green foliage and is susceptible to black spot, so protection is required.
