More information
A cut or exhibition rose primarily cultivated in greenhouses for bouquet production. In greenhouse conditions, flower-bearing shoots are short and thin but form and develop quickly; the number of cut flowers exceeds that of other varieties. In southern regions, open-ground cultivation is possible. The dimensions in the variety card refer specifically to open-ground growth; in greenhouses the bush height and bud size are larger. Carpe Diem roses are peach-toned with a lighter center; the petals are curved, almost corrugated, with a gradual transition in color from brown to light beige. The bud opens gradually, reaching 10–12 cm in diameter. Duration: 12–14 days. Stem length: 40–80 cm. HMF lists zoning 6 to 9.
