More information
A large, open shrub with grey-green foliage. The flowers are semi-double, light pink, and appear on long, thin shoots. Their shape resembles camellias. In early summer, the bud-stage fragrance carries myrrh and tea-rose notes, becoming musky as the blooms open. Later, the musk is more pronounced, with notes of orange peel and almond. Used as a shrub in gardens and in mixed borders. High disease resistance. The name ‘Cariad’ is Welsh for ‘love’ .
