The flowers open from elongated buds into loose rosettes with a small cluster of stamens in the centre. They are fuchsia pink or pale crimson, retaining their colour for a long time before fading slightly to dark pink. They appear singly or in clusters of up to 12 on shoots long enough for cutting. The foliage is dark and glossy, and the bush is spreading, with arched, drooping shoots. Resistant to disease. Propagated by green cuttings.
Clusters of elongated buds open into rounded semi-marginal flowers of light red, which fade to dark pink. Long light-green shoots bend slightly under their own weight. The foliage shows disease resistance. The variety can be used as a climber. Winter hardiness is approximately comparable to William; propagated by cuttings.
Explorer series rose. Flowers to 7.5 cm with a light fragrance. Glossy foliage that is disease resistant. Winter-hardy, but when grown as a pleached rose it is necessary to bend and cover the shoots.
