


















Bud dark blood-red, velvety, elongated. Flowers crimson-red with a lighter center, large (10–14 cm / about 4.75 in), double (20–25 petals), with a very weak, specific scent. Flowers open easily; petals are prone to burning, bluing, and baking. Blooms appear singly or in small clusters of up to 4; flower stems may droop due to weak necks.
Shrub habit is spreading. Shoots are strong; pedicels are drooping. Leaves are dark green, medium-sized, leathery, matte, and spiked. Thorns (spines) are medium-sized and numerous.
Flowering is abundant and recurrent in flushes throughout the season. The variety is susceptible to black spot and requires preventive treatment.
Bylina is a crimson Hybrid Tea rose bred in the former USSR by M. V. Besstchetnowa and K. L. Sushkov in 1961.
