Large brushes of carmine-red, non-waved flowers with a white center. Flowers tolerate rain. The variety is suitable for living isorody, cuttings, and planting in mixboarders. Height 120–150 cm. The variety has received multiple medals.
The variety is named after the Congolese town of Bukavu (now Zaire territory). Proceeds from the first two years of sales were allocated to the region’s health care needs. The Bukavu variety is derived from the popular rose Rush by the same breeder. It blooms in brushes of carmine-red, non-waved flowers with an almost white “eye.” Tolerates rainy weather. The variety is formally included in the floribunda group, and is suitable for hedges.
