More information
Pink is a sport of the variety Iceberg. Its growth habit matches the parent, with comparable profusion of blooms. The difference lies in the coloration: flowers are vivid pink with creamy-white spots and streaks.
This Iceberg sport was discovered in a garden in Hobart, Tasmania. It retains the attributes of its ancestor, including disease resistance, light green foliage, and a light fragrance. Like Iceberg, it blooms almost continuously over an extended period. Flower color ranges from pink to white, often showing a “hand-painted” effect with smears and spots on the petals. Blooms fade with age, with paler tones in heat. Stamens are typically orange-pink and hold their color with age. Some flowers can be pure white, like Iceberg. Can be grown as a trunk or bush rose.
