More information
In early autumn, this variegated rose produces numerous clusters of orange blooms that, at close range, show blended coloration. The petals are pure orange toward the center, fading to pale orange or amber at the edges. When fully open, the calyx-shaped, semi-double flowers reveal golden stamens and an apricot “eye.” The blooms are fragrant. With proper care, the rose grows and flowers. Individual blooms are short-lived, and the petals drop readily. The shoots reach up to 3 m.
The coloring is uncommon for a pleached rose: golden with peach tones. The color does not change as the bloom ages; in heat, the peach tones may intensify slightly. Small buds quickly open into flowers with 10 petals. A distinctive feature is pointed petals. Flower diameter is about 6 cm. The fragrance is intense, with notes of honey and lemon. Long stems are easy to train. The plant produces many shoots from the base. The variety is not suitable for cold regions, as it does not tolerate frost well. Young foliage is dark red, later turning dark green and glossy. Prefers abundant watering. Under unfavorable conditions it is susceptible to black spot.
