More information
This rose was introduced as an improved form of Royal Highness. Marchenkonigin retains the traits of this well-known show rose, with better overall health and, in particular, increased resistance to black spot. The blooms open slowly from large, pale pink buds. Flowers are borne singly at the ends of very long, strong shoots, and are suitable for floral arrangements. Marchenkonigin has a vigorous growth habit and disease resistance, with large, dark leaves and almost no thorns. It performs best in hot weather, when it can bloom without interruption; in rain or wet conditions the flowers do not open.
