A rose named in honor of an actor-comedian, radio and TV presenter of the 1950–60s of the 20th century (hosted the Oscars more than 17 times). Series: Fragrant Roses - strong tea fragrance. Flowers are crimson-pink, sometimes with dark edges, well-shaped with a high centre, large (12–15 cm in diameter), densely-waved, persistent in the cut. The shrub is tall (100–165 cm); foliage is dark green, large; many thorns. Flowering is abundant and prolonged. The variety is winter-hardy.
