More information

A deciduous shrub with straight, but more often drooping shoots bearing numerous thorns. Flowers are double, flat in form, full, with thin petals and a strong fragrance. The color is light pink with darker centers. Blooms once in early June. Prefers well-lit locations sheltered from drafts. Does not tolerate shade; in hot weather under direct sunlight the flowers may wilt.
