More information
Many of today's 'blue' roses exhibit a strong fragrance, and Blue Parfum is described as the only matching its name in both colour and fragrance. The flowers are purple at first; as they open, the outer petals shift toward crimson while the inner petals remain lilac or lavender. The buds are long and slender; in full bloom the flowers display a midrib, and the petals sometimes show a jagged, ragged edge. The fragrance is strong and intense. The bush is dense and compact, with dark foliage that provides contrast to flowers.
