A member of the so-called "Coffee Roses", bearing solitary red blooms with a cinnamon nuance. A hybrid tea rose with fairly large, well-formed flowers whose shades range from pale coral grey to dark red, with tones reminiscent of fresh earth and cinnamon. In cool weather, the blooms develop a dense, velvety texture. In hot weather, both texture and colour shift toward a more silky aspect. Foliage is semi-glossy, dark green, and medium in size. Stems are armed with thorns. Suitable for cutting. Introduced in Japan in 1973 by Kanjiro Okamoto.
