More information
Betty Prior is a hardy rose that was one of the first polyanthus roses to be classified as floribunda. The flowers are non-waved and almost odourless, and blooming is abundant and almost continuous until late autumn. Blooms are dense pink, with a paler base of the petals and a light crimson underside. With age, the colouring fades and the flowers become almost white with red dots left by rain or dew. Flowers appear in brushes of 5–15 pcs, and the petals are well held. The variety is very winter-hardy and grows better in cold climates, where the colouring remains more intense.
