More information
Large, lilac flowers measure 10–15 cm in diameter. The shrub is branched, 100–150 cm in height.
Attempts to produce blue roses have not yet succeeded, as illustrated by this pale purple flower with a strong, sweet fragrance. Newly opened blooms are globular, approximately 12 cm in diameter. Later they open fully to a cup-shaped form, exposing yellow stamens and a red pistil to insects. The petals tolerate rain poorly and rarely drop.
