The first yellow cut variety of D. Austin, borne on strong, upright shoots, with a pronounced fragrance.
Large (10 cm) blooms on opening resemble ruffled cups, then develop into classic rosettes with many petals arising from the centre, arranged in a loose swirl.
Color varies: sometimes a pure, clear yellow with lighter outer petals; in cooler weather the flower becomes two tones darker, the centre is almost apricot, the outer petals light yellow.
The fragrance is strong, with notes of honey, lilac, and almond.
Vase life is 8–10 days.
The variety is resistant to MR and to PP; rust has not been tested.
Winter hardiness has not been tested.
