More information
The Bathsheba variety is part of the collection of English plumeria roses.
Long, apricot-yellow buds open into flat rosettes 10–12 cm across, containing many densely packed petals. The flowers display a combination of shades: the upper surface of the petals shows a delicate apricot-pink tone, while the reverse is a soft yellow. The outer petals are cream-coloured, creating a halo effect. The overall colour is rich apricot. The rose has a fragrance with myrrh notes—floral and warm, with hints of honey. As the blooms mature, the scent develops tea notes.
The variety is a climber and forms a bush with medium green matte foliage.
This rose is named after the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s novel Far from the Madding Crowd.
