Ayrshire Splendens is an Ayrshire, species-type rose with light pink blooms and crimson buds. The flowers have a strong anise and myrrh fragrance and about 10 to 20 petals, forming small to medium, double, globular blooms that are produced both singly and in clusters. It blooms once in spring or summer. The plant sends out runners and is well-branched, with medium-sized, matte, dark green foliage composed of 5 to 7 leaflets. It can reach up to 610 cm in height and up to 305 cm in width. It is suitable for USDA zones 6b through 9b and is described as very hardy.
