Medium-red Setigera hybrid.
Bred by Rudolf Geschwind (1829–1910) (Austria-Hungary, historical name), until 1885.
Macrantha hybrid; Setigera hybrid.
Maline colour, scarlet with a purple tinge. Light fragrance. Large, double flowers (40 petals), open, mostly singly, in large trusses. Buds are large.
Spikes/thorns; platy; upright bush. Dense foliage.
Height 300 to 400 cm.
USDA zone 4 to 9b. Hardy, vigorous. Suitable for support.
