More information
Classic rose-scarlet type. Cup-shaped, double flowers 8–10 cm in diameter, dark orange, on very long, strong stems, gathered in compact, umbrella-shaped inflorescences. The colour shifts to light peach as the blooms open. The fragrance is medium, with a spicy note. Foliage is very dark, highly glossy, and shows strong resistance to powdery mildew and black spot. Arabia blooms slightly later than many other varieties, bridging the gap between the first and second wave of flowering in other roses. The variety can be used as semi-branching.
Arabia shows a pronounced orange colour, with bright petals tightly rolled into the buds. The classic rose-scarlet type is evident, while the colour turns lighter toward peach during bloom. These are carried in compact, umbrella-shaped sprays, giving a cohesive clustered display.
