More information
With the introduction of Antike 89, Kordes presented a modern variegated rose. This cultivar bears large, double blooms with striking coloration that tolerates both heat and rain. It flowers abundantly throughout the summer. The blooms are white or very pale pink with bright red edges; because of the high petal count, the overall impression reads more red than white. Flowers are cupped, with a swirling center, so the form aligns more with old garden roses than with modern types. Blooms appear singly or in clusters of up to 5 and are well suited for cutting. The foliage is abundant and large. Shows strong disease resistance. The shoots are stiff, so the plant can be trained as a scrambler .
The flowers are very large (13 cm), double. The shrub grows slowly, reaching 2.5–3 m in height.
Dense, old-style double blooms with subtle shifts of color.
