More information
A notable trait of the cultivar Antony Meilland is that the bright yellow blooms resist bleaching. In strong sun and hot climates, even in bright, direct sunlight and heat, they retain their colour when many yellow roses fade to white. Flowers arise from buds, and each retains a hybrid tea form until fully open. For a floribunda, the flowers are large, with firm, short petals; the clusters (usually 3–5) can be very dense. Foliage is dark green, glossy, stiff, and shows disease resistance. The shrub is compact in habit, stiff, and quite thorny.
Shade-tolerant variety.
