More information
This variety differs from classic Hybrid Tea roses—typically high-centered buds that become a looser, less structured petal presentation at full opening—and instead represents a modern large-flowered rose whose character is most apparent when fully open. The blooms open from globular buds, revealing a swirling centre in an antique style. The colour, and how it changes over time, shows outer petals that are almost white (porcelain pink), while the centre is deep pink with apricot tones at the base. According to the originator, the variety is very resistant to disease. Its colouring, form, and fragrance attracted notable attention at the time it was first introduced.
