More information
This rose blooms for an extended period, producing numerous flowers from June until the first frost. Throughout each stage of bloom, pink buds gradually open into a cup-shaped flower with many petals, featuring a rich, glowing pink center that fades toward the petal edges. At the end of the bloom, stamens may become visible. The myrrh fragrance is pronounced.
This variety shows vigorous growth, forming a larger-than-average shrub-sized bush quickly. Suitable for the middle or back of a flower bed.
The variety takes its name from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s epic poem “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner,” published in 1798.
