Fragrant flowers ‘Anabell’ 7–10 cm in diameter, bright orange-salmon with a silvery sheen. The form resembles hybrid tea roses. Blooms all summer in large clusters. The shrub is neat, compact, 60–90 cm tall. Winter-hardy and disease-resistant.
Buds are long, pointed, and open slowly. Flowers are salmon-orange, goblet-shaped (high-centered), large (8–9 cm), double (25–30 petals), fragrant, borne in inflorescences of 3–8 and singly, on strong pedicels 35–45 cm long. Foliage is dark green, leathery, glossy, healthy. Bushes are 60–75 cm tall, upright, compact. Blooms abundantly, almost continuously. Characterized by salmon-orange coloration and persistence. Winter-hardy. For group plantings, borders, and cutting. Introduced by GBS in 1973
