Blooms on densely branched stems, bearing 26–40 petals; goblet-shaped, high-centered, in ashy-lilac tones, often with an olive cast. Buds and opening blooms show a yellow-brown color and progressively shift to ashy-lilac, with a light fragrance. Susceptible to black spot disease.
