‘Alye Parusa’ is a Hybrid Tea rose variety with oval buds that open quickly. Flowers are scarlet-red, large (10–11 cm in diameter), very double (about 28–55 petals), slightly fragrant, usually borne singly on strong stems, sometimes with mahogany tones. Flowering is repeat, in flushes throughout the growing season, with moderate to abundant bloom.
Foliage is large, dark green, leathery; it may be glossy or matte according to different descriptions. Spines (prickles) are few or rare. Shrubs are medium in height (about 60–70 cm) and broad.
The variety is reported to be winter-hardy and resistant to fungal diseases in general, but it can show susceptibility to mildew. ‘Alye Parusa’ was bred in the former USSR around 1958 by M. V. Besstchetnowa and K. L. Sushkov, from a cross of ‘Sondermeldung’ (Kordes) and ‘Gloria Dei’. It is used mainly for group plantings.
