More information

Now there are more cultivars available, but when Allotria was first introduced it was an early release. Flowers are large for a floribunda, semi-double, and maintain form at all stages of opening. Newly opened buds are scarlet, sometimes almost orange, later becoming darker. Petals show many white streaks in the center. Blooms tolerate rain well. Flowers appear in clusters of 3-7, suitable for cutting and exhibition. Prickles are large; foliage is dark green, shiny, bronze when young. Repeats bloom.
