More information

Ajudag is a dark red Hybrid Tea rose.

Buds are black, rounded to elongated, and open slowly. Flowers are dark red, large (10–10.8 cm in diameter), double, with 30–35 petals, full, and cupped. Fragrance is slight to moderate. Blooms are borne mostly singly, also in small clusters of 3–4 on strong pedicels, and appear repeatedly in flushes throughout the growing season.

Leaves are dark green, glossy, and leathery. Bushes are medium height, with data indicating 50–90 cm, spreading, and well-branched. Flowering is abundant, uniform, and long, with the first flowering period lasting about 19–26 days.

The cultivar is winter-hardy and resistant to fungal diseases. It is suitable for group plantings and for use as a cut flower. The name ‘Ajudag’ refers to Bear Mountain on the Crimean coast.
