The variety was created at the Botanical Garden of the Academy of Sciences of the Latvian SSR (now Salaspils Botanical Garden) by Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Dzidra Rieksta.
Rugosa hybrid rose with semi-mauve, light pink flowers. It has a moderate fragrance. It often reblooms.
