Medium-height floribunda shrub rose, 50–80 cm tall, with a low, sturdy growth habit. Foliage is light green and glossy.
Flowers are double, ball- to cupped-shaped, about 5.7–6 cm in diameter, with approximately 25–30 petals. Colour shifts during development: opening pink and maturing to pink-russet / pink-bronze to coffee-pink or coffee-brown, often with a lighter reverse and sometimes a greenish cast. Blooms are carried in small clusters of about 2–7 and retain their form for an extended period. The variety repeats flowering quickly in flushes through the growing season. Fragrance is mild.
The cultivar ‘Acropolis’ is a florists’ and shrub rose from the Romantica series, bred by Meilland International in France in 2002. It is considered winter-hardy and disease-resistant, suitable for use as a cut flower, in beds and borders, and in containers. It is adapted to USDA hardiness zones 6b–9b.
