Roses bred by the Japanese breeder Junko Kawamoto are distinguished by their fragrance. Many of her roses emit scent already at the bud stage. Despite a delicate appearance, these roses demonstrate resistance to disease and variable weather. The rose Abdiel of the Heaven series is consistent with these traits. Its double, calyx-shaped blooms, when open, display a central zone with visible stamens. The blooms exhibit changes in both color and form over the course of the day. Satin-like petals retain their color without fading for a long time.
